Vintage Kantha Reversible Quilt
Kantha is a traditional running stitch (also known as Gudri) where old fabrics and old saris are renewed and revived
For generation, old saris in India have been hand stitched in this way to breathe new life into the old, and the skills have been passed down through the generations for centuries
Due to the nature of the up-cycled fabrics, each one is totally unique and when pieces are sewn together, each quilt has a reversible design too, making for a completely individual piece of art, and no two pieces are the same
There may be subtle imperfections giving kantha quilting its beautiful character that we love
Each one is 100% cotton and can be washed on a gentle machine cycle
