Here at Shakti we have been sourcing beautiful natural ethical clothing for twenty five years. We discovered very early on that the clothing industry was pretty crazy, and that even some 'ethical' brands would launch new collections as much as six times each year. There would be high volume, the constant need to push for high sales, the mid season sale, the end of season sale, the next season, the latest colourway, more production, more pressure, it all became too much.

We realised that there was no such thing as sustainable fashion. We needed a revolution to 'unfashionable', or at least to timeless, to tradition, to slowing it all down. We didn't want to push the new season, the new collection, the advertising, the next thing for social media...

So what now? What are "New" Arrivals? So here you can find true investment pieces, clothing made to last, slow 'un' fashion pieces, clothing to love for a lifetime that won't date quickly, or even at all.

We endeavour to relaunch the same styles, the same shapes, sometimes in new colours, sometimes not and each year we collaborate with our producers to recreate the classic, the timeless, to recreate the old discontinued colours. Sometimes it takes a long time to invest in that piece of knitwear you've had your eye on for years - only to realise that when you make the leap, it's no longer available.

We aim to bring you clothing that you absolutely love to wear and pieces created for a lifetime. We need to slow down, to make life simple again, to preserve all the ways that sustain life on all levels.
